Fun fact: this film is evidence that I have limited experience at real parties since it’s abundantly clear I don’t know what they look like. That’s good news for you—you can count on me being focused and hardworking (because I won’t be at parties).

More of these shots end up directly correlating to what ends up in the short film. However, there are additional shots present that ended up on the cutting room floor.

I color coded the characters because of the larger cast. Though it added some time to storyboarding, it was worth the effort for the clarity it gave everyone who worked on the project; I'll use this technique in future projects whenever possible.

This option for the opening scene ended up making the final cut. It quickly establishes Jo and Laurie's amicable relationship before their rocky conversation starts.

I'll say in short that the pool scene was exciting to coordinate as a director. We planned and rehearsed every detail to ensure the actors and crew were safe. The "jumping in" shots were taken within the same minute, and they had to be executed on the first take. Success!
